About Coach McClain
- played travel softball throughout my childhood
- played 4 years in high school and became a pitcher in my sophomore year.
- received a full scholarship to pitch for Lake Michigan College. Won districts and regionals, and placed 2nd in nationals as a freshman.
- as a sophomore, won nationals going undefeated
-After college, I coached at the local MASP (rec ball) level
- currently assisting as a pitching coach for Thumb Elite 18u travel team and conducting private pitching lessons at Full Tilt Fastpitch
“Coach Dawn has helped build off of Coach Jeff's lessons with my daughter Lilly. She helped slow her down to avoid rushing her pitches and helped reinforce proper mechanics. Lilly absolutely loves having her give a lesson right before game weekends. With the help of coach Dawn and her teammates, Lilly led in last years winter league with only 9 runs allowed in 7 games.”
